Terms and Conditions

These conditions apply to engineering design services supplied by NM Engineering & Design unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

Quotations and scope

Quotations are based on the brief and information supplied at the time and remain valid for 30 days. Work outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately before it is carried out.

Client responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing accurate requirements, constraints and any third-party data needed, and for timely feedback at review stages.

Deliverables and revisions

Deliverables are defined in the quotation. A reasonable allowance for revisions is included; further changes are charged at our standard rate.

Fees and payment

Fees are charged on a fixed-price or day-rate basis as quoted. Invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date unless agreed otherwise.

Intellectual property

On full payment, ownership of the design deliverables prepared specifically for the client passes to the client. We retain ownership of our pre-existing methods, templates and know-how.

Confidentiality

Information disclosed by either party for the purpose of a project is treated as confidential and is not shared with third parties without consent.

Liability

Our liability in connection with any project is limited to the fees paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Cancellation

Either party may terminate a project in writing. Work completed up to the date of termination is chargeable.

Governing law

These conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
